Michael George Prettitore

Michael George Prettitore, 49, of Boca Raton passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Michael’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. He passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 49 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Michael was born on July 10, 1973 in College Point, Queens, New York to Anthony and Gail Prettitore. As the baby of the family, he was extra loved and maybe got away with a little more. That being said, he was independent and goal driven.

After retiring as a Lieutenant from the Police Department, he moved with his wife and children to Boca Raton, Florida. He was not afraid of getting his hands dirty and worked many jobs until finding his calling. With his charisma yet down to earth personality he met his goals and beyond by becoming a million dollar listing agent. 

Michael was an avid Steelers, Rangers and Yankee fan attending games in Pittsburgh, NewYork and in Florida whenever possible. He shared those moments with his family often. Since his move to Florida boating became his passion. Being out along the water was his way to unwind and enjoy life. His favorite escape to appreciate the simple moments was being at Lake George, a place he vacationed at since he was a young child. He loved traveling with his wife and children, exploring new places, new cuisines and was a wine enthusiast. He lived life to the fullest and savored every moment with passion, laughter and appreciation.

Michael is survived by his beautiful wife Joanna, his precious daughters Gianna Marie and Sophie Mae, his loving parents Anthony and Gail and his siblings, Antoinette, Anthony and Lynn and the family dog baby Blue.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-4 PM on Sunday February 5 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 4:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 11th at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 123-14 14th Avenue, College Pt, NY 11356.
