Martha (Waters) Steinberg

Martha Steinberg, 91, of Secaucus, NJ and Boca Raton, FL, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. 

Martha was born on April 6, 1927 in Topeka, KS. At the age of 16, she relocated to California and graduated high school. She then moved to New York City and received her Masters Degree in Education at Fordham University. She then spent the next 23 years teaching elementary school in Harlem, NY. While in New York City, Martha met the love of her life and married Howard Steinberg. They spent the next 50 years together. 

During her life, Martha was an avid animal lover. Throughout her life, she always had multiple cats in her home, and in the classroom. Her love for cats inspired her husband, Howard, to become a cat lover as well. Martha also enjoyed reading and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and pussycats. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 16, at the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton at 11:30AM.
