Manny F. Cordova was born on May 11th, 1960, at St. James's hospital in Newark, New Jersey. On July 25th, 2021, he passed away unexpectedly in Boca Raton, Florida at age 61.
Manny was the son of Jesus Cordova and Amalia Agudo, husband to Nancy, father to Chamaee and Michael Cordova, grandfather to Alessandra, brother to Burt, James, Carmen, Maria, Lissette, Mercy, Juan Carlos, and Javier.
Manny graduated from Harrison high school in Harrison, New Jersey, where he was a three-sport varsity athlete in swimming, baseball, and football. After high school, Manny attended the University of Miami on a swimming scholarship, but soon after joined the United States Air Force. Manny worked various jobs throughout his life including a customer service agent at U.S airways, a manager at Canali, and a salesperson at City Mattress.
Manny found the love of his life Nancy Cordova in 1997. Their first date was a fun time in New York City. Manny and Nancy got married in 1999, in Corona Del Mar, California. Manny loved Nancy with all his heart and often referred to her as his “princess.” Manny was a family first kind of man who deeply loved his family. Manny was a true gentleman and genuine person. Manny was also a man of faith. Any conversation that Manny was a part of his passion for his family was present and you could see that he truly was a man of his word. Manny was proud of his daughter Chamaee, who became a nurse in New Jersey, and he looked forward to his daily conversations with her and gave her great advise. Manny was also very proud of his son Michael. Manny loved to watch Michael play ball. Michael and Manny bonded over long car rides listening to rock music, making jokes to each other, watching movies, and their great love of Cuban food. Manny loved to watch games at home in his recliner and attend games he could make it to. He was passionate about the sport of baseball. His favorite teams were the New York Mets, Stoneman Douglas Eagles, and the King University Tornados. Manny also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Alessandra. Together they went on walks, played with toys, and talked lots about the family cats Romeo and Rosey. Manny will also be watching down upon the newest edition to the family, his second granddaughter.
