Lucienne Peters, 85, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. Born on October 1, 1940, she lived a life defined by faith, devotion, grace, and an unwavering love for her family.
Lucienne was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother whose presence brought warmth, beauty, and comfort to all who knew her. At the heart of her life was a profound love for her family. She shared 63 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Terry, a partnership rooted in faith, loyalty, and enduring devotion.
She was a constant source of love and strength for her children, John and Jaimee, always present and selfless. As a grandmother, she found immeasurable joy in Alexia, Ulises-Gabriel, Sophie, and Leif, pouring her warmth, wisdom, and affection into them. Her love was steadfast and unconditional, shaping generations.
Lucienne carried herself with elegance and quiet strength, always choosing kindness and seeing the good in others. Deeply rooted in her Greek Orthodox faith, she drew inspiration from her beloved saint, Agios Gerasimos, embodying his gentleness, compassion, and spiritual strength.
Her life’s work began in the home as a devoted wife and homemaker, creating a foundation of love and stability. She later brought that same creativity to her professional life, writing, hosting, and producing Mediterranean Echoes, a nationally syndicated weekly Greek-American television show. A graduate of the University of Miami and a lifelong lover of the arts, opera, and classical music, she pursued her passions throughout her life.
Years later, guided by her deep faith and devotion to her family, she moved to Argentina to be by her daughter’s side as her granddaughter received intensive therapy. She often said, “I go wherever my children need me,” and she lived those words fully until her final days.
She later became a paraprofessional working with individuals with special needs, inspired by her love for her granddaughter Alexia. She served as her paraprofessional daily for years at school in Boca Raton. This work gave her a deep sense of purpose and allowed her to touch many lives with compassion and care.
Lucienne found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She was an active member of Philoptochos and the Daughters of Penelope, both in Tenafly, New Jersey, and in Boca Raton. A gifted cook and baker, she lovingly prepared meals for family and church gatherings, passing down cherished traditions. She also loved creating with her hands, including baking, oil painting, quilting, knitting, and needlepoint, bringing beauty and care to everything she made.
She had a deep love for travel and culture, especially Greece, its traditions, and its spiritual richness.
Lucienne will be remembered as elegant, feminine, and radiant in both presence and spirit. Beneath her grace was a resilient woman whose strength carried her through life with dignity. She had a rare gift for bringing light into any room and lifting even the darkest days with warmth and hope.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Terry; her son, John; her daughter, Jaimee; her daughter-in-law, Kristin; her son-in-law, Ulises; her cherished grandchildren, Alexia, Ulises-Gabriel, Sophie, and Leif; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is now reunited in heaven with her sisters, Margo and Stacey, and her beloved niece Cathy, and nephews Jimmy and Stavros.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing her love remains with us, woven into who we are. Life will be a little less sweet without her, but forever sweeter because of the love she gave so freely.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton on Monday, March 23 at 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, Lucienne requested that donations be made to My Allie's Place. or to St Mark Greek Orthodox Church
