Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on February 17, 1929, Louis Feher passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. Lou was predeceased by the love of his life, Billie MacDonald-Feher, who passed away on December 27, 2025. Together, Lou and Billie shared a true storybook romance—one built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering love. Married for 39 years, they remained deeply devoted to one another throughout their lives. In 2007, they made Mizner Tower their home, where they quickly became cherished members of the community.
Lou was a proud Army veteran who served with distinction as a corporal and an accomplished saxophone musician who performed for Army brass. Music remained one of his lifelong passions. A gifted and talented musician, Lou later organized his own band and performed throughout South Florida, delighting audiences with his skill and style. Many in Mizner Tower grew accustomed to the familiar and welcome sound of Lou practicing his saxophone three or four times a week in his apartment soundtrack that became part of his unmistakable presence.
In addition to his musical talents, Lou was active in real estate in both Florida and Idaho. Yet beyond his professional accomplishments, Lou will be remembered most for the way he carried himself. Described by everyone who knew him as a true class act, he was the eternal optimist—always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, and a positive outlook on life.
Lou and Billie were world travelers who reveled in adventure and embraced life fully. Whether meeting royalty or sharing stories with everyday people, Lou treated everyone with equal warmth, curiosity, and respect. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word.
Sharp as a tack until the very end, Lou was often described as a walking, talking encyclopedia. Well-versed in current affairs, history, and just about any topic worth discussing, he could hold a conversation with anyone—and usually leave them better for it. His charm, intellect, talent, and gracious spirit made him unforgettable.
Lou leaves behind a legacy of music, dignity, kindness, and optimism. He will be remembered with admiration, missed with affection, and cherished always.
