Lisa Weed Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, Lisa Heather Weed, who left this world far too soon on August 22, 2025, at the age of 18. She was born in Sylva, North Carolina, with deep ties to both Franklin, North Carolina, and Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Lisa was the cherished daughter of Kelly and Michael Weed. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Jesse Weed, her great grandfather, Michael Rienzo, her aunt Michelle Vasquez, her uncle Jordan Vasquez, and her grandparents Judy and Jim Weed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Renee and James McInerney. Her family, who loved her deeply, will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

From the time she was young, Lisa lived life with a fearless spirit and an unshakable sense of wonder. She was the kind of person who dove headfirst into every moment, never holding back, never shying away from new adventures. Music spoke to her soul, and the ocean was her sanctuary, where she found peace, joy, and endless inspiration.

Lisa’s adventurous heart made her a true thrill chaser. She was never afraid to try something new, to take a leap, or to step outside of her comfort zone. For her, life wasn’t something to tiptoe through cautiously—it was meant to be embraced fully, with wide eyes and open arms. She had an extraordinary ability to see beauty where others might not, and she carried a contagious excitement for living that made everyone around her feel more alive.

Beyond her love for adventure, Lisa was known for her loyalty and her open heart. She was a devoted friend who accepted everyone without judgment. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and loved exactly as they were.

To know Lisa was to know freedom, laughter, and light. Her curiosity about the world, her courage to experience it all, and her unwavering love for life inspired everyone who crossed her path. Lisa didn’t just live—she showed others how to live too, reminding us all that joy is found in the present moment, in adventure, in music, and in love.

Lisa’s bright presence, compassion, and bold outlook will be missed more than words can express. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, courage, and unforgettable memories that will continue to live on through her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida, on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
