With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lila Ruth (Brook) Greenberg, at her home in Boca Raton, Florida on Tuesday, September 17, 2025, with her family at her side.
Lila was the beloved spouse and lifelong companion of Gerald Greenberg of Boca Raton, Florida.
Born in Sydney on June 21, 1935, she was the middle child of the late Abraham and Celia (Gutzeit) Brook.
Lila was devoted to her husband and family, and was proud to tell everyone that she was a registered nurse.
Lila will be remembered for her fiery spirit, passion and love of her family.
Lila is survived by her husband Jerry, her daughter, Alaine Greenberg (Rand Smith) and Alan Greenberg; grandchildren, Gabrielle Greenberg and Jake Greenberg, and nieces and nephews, Lynn Nathanson (Ted Rozsa), Gail Nathanson, Hanna Brook, (Jeff Peskin), Adam Brook (Anna), Dean Greenberg (Mel), Sandy Greenberg, Melody Pehote (John), Randy Greenberg, Kim Greenberg,
In addition to her parents, Lila was predeceased by her sister Reva (Brook) Nathanson, brother, Dr. Marven Brook; and Marven’s son, Jason.
The funeral service will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 12 p.m. with Rabbi Jonathan Kaplan officiating, followed by the burial at the Boca Raton Municipal Cemetery at 2 p.m.
