Leslie Massaro passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 1st, 1964, in Queens, New York, to the late John Sanchez and Marilyn Miller, Leslie was the youngest of four children. Her loving brothers and sister Robert Sanchez, Doreen Sanchez, and John Sanchez. Leslie graduated college with an associate’s degree and was pursuing her bachelor’s degree in human services. Leslie spent over 25 years owning and/or managing nail salons and spa’s across New York and Florida leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and tenacity.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Leslie was a devoted Wife and Mother. She married the love of her life Joseph, in 1991, and they were together for over 40 years. They built a life rooted in love, family, and faith. A quiet but steady presence, Leslie led with kindness, patience, humor and positivity.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Joseph Massaro; their children, Frankie Massaro and Brandon Massaro and their faithful yet crazy dog Tux.
Leslie was rich in faith, love, and kindness. Whether she was dancing on vacation with her family, going out in Miami with her mom, sister, and friends, teaching her sons how important school is and to never give up! She was always laughing and telling jokes every chance she got. Leslie lit every room with her beauty, razor-sharp wit, and one-of-a-kind spirit. Her generosity, boundless empathy, and knack for turning strangers into friends are the qualities her loved ones will forever cherish.
Her resilience and determination to keep moving forward and never backwards, to always take what life gives and turn it into something positive and amazing. No matter what she was going through, she taught us to keep our head held high. She was the strongest women anyone has ever met, and she always did things the way she wanted, what made her happy. She was the backbone of the family, the glue holding everything together, and the pioneer of much.
She had such a big heart, always putting others before her. She loved bringing her great humor everywhere she went.
Many whom know Leslie, know her and her mother are surely greeting you with a dance and a laugh from heaven.
It is impossible to capture a soul as vibrant as Leslie in a few paragraphs. She was fearless, joyful, and utterly irreplaceable. Those who love her will hear her in every song, feel her in every warm breeze, and see her in every swooping bird. Leslie will be remembered for her steadfast love, quiet strength, and the steady way she made life better for those around her. She will always be missed and forever live in our hearts.
A private celebration of her life will be held on July 16th 2025 in Boca Raton, FL. The viewing will start at 9:00am with the service following at 10:00am. Leslie will be laid to rest at Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, FL.
