Laurie Richmond Traylor, of Palm City, Florida passed away at 76 years old on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, at the Luxe Rehabilitation Center in Jupiter, Fl after a long battle of Parkinsons and Dementia.
Laurie was born on June 25, 1949, in Buffalo, NY and graduated from Bryant and Stratton College in Buffalo, NY. Laurie was predeceased by her parents Dean and Nancy Richmond, and her husband, Jack Traylor, founder of Traylor Electric Company. Laurie was president of Traylor Electric and ran the company for 30 years along with Ron Peters.
When she wasn’t working, Laurie enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and shopping. And she loved her pets! Laurie never met a stranger and genuinely enjoyed meeting new people. Her smile, which lit up any room and warmed everyone’s hearts, will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
During her struggle with Parkinsons and dementia she was lovingly cared for by Ron Peters and Nicole Khoury. She looked forward to her many visits with her brother Dean and her friends, Sue Grammon. Deana Hicks, and Sherry Wineshank, also, Steve and Carol Fork.
Laurie is survived by her partner and caretaker, Ronald Peters. Her son, Daniel Traylor. Her grandchildren, Emerson Riviera Peters, Caden, Jackson and Maryn Traylor. Her brother, W. Dean Richmond and his wife, Eileen Richmond. Her sister, Theresa Leslie. And many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as grandnieces and nephews.
Service to remember Laurie will be Saturday, June 27th, at Glick Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida at 1:00pm, with calling time beginning at 12:30. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Parkinsons and Dementia research.
