Larry Blaine Taylor of Boca Raton passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2025, at his home at the age of 81.
Larry was born to Ida and Robert Taylor on March 10th, 1944, in Marion, Ohio. Larry moved to Cocoa, Florida with his family around 1952.
Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mel Jean Taylor, Larry’s brother Steve (Sheran), his stepchildren Sheryl Pole, Karen Elaine Pecar (Gerald), and Larry’s step grandchildren Jen, Misti, Shon, Travis, Jesse, Orion and Cullun.
Larry enlisted in the Army in 1965 and spent nearly 4 years of active duty. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Larry became a linesman for Florida Power and Light and retired after a full career at the age of 59 (2003). Larry grew up as an avid bowler and had accomplished multiple perfect games in his younger days. He also enjoyed fishing with his best friend Gordon Steele who unfortunately preceded Larrys death by 11 years and 1 day. Larry and Mel enjoyed traveling and cruising in their retired years with their best friends Gordon and Caroline Steele.
Larry will be interred at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
