Kimberly Sue Hayhurst passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Naples, Florida. She was 64 years old. Kim was born on April 5, 1961 to Kenneth and Mary Bledsoe Hayhurst; she was the youngest child in a family of six children.
She lived in the South Florida area most of her life; mainly between Boca Raton and Pompano Beach. Kim loved being close to the ocean, she enjoyed the feel of the cool sea breezes and watching the peaceful sunrises. She collected sea shells and made beautiful art and craft pieces with her finds.
Kim was a proud mother to her son, Brian Hayhurst of Naples and daughter Kristi Hayhurst of New York. Sadly, Kristi passed away in 2020. Kim moved to Naples to be closer to her son Brian and daughter-in-law, Karrie Weaver Hayhurst and grandchildren: Brian, Kaylee and Mason Hayhurst. She is also grandma to Kristi’s children: Nicole, Christopher, Christian and Styles as well as a great-grandmother of six. Kim is survived by her sisters: Diane (Pete) Pena of Loxahatchee and Karen Finnerty of Boca Raton and many loving nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her three brothers: Mike, John and Jim Hayhurst.
Over the last decade, she devoted a lot of time and love to her gorgeous Rottweiler, Sassy, that came into her life as a puppy and was a constant source of emotional support.
Her family was not ready for her to leave so quickly; we pray that she is at peace resting in God’s kingdom until we meet again.
