Keith Edgar O’Donnell**
October 20, 1951 – November 28, 2025
In the quiet twilight of a late-November evening,
Keith Edgar O’Donnell passed peacefully,
leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength—
a legacy that will live on in every heart he touched.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Keith built a life defined by integrity, generosity, and dedication to the people and places he loved. Over the course of his distinguished career in commercial real estate, he became one of the most respected and accomplished brokers in South Florida. Known for his insight, professionalism, and ability to bring people together, Keith played a pivotal role in shaping the business landscape of the region, supporting and guiding landmark projects including the Office Depot Global Headquarters, the Lynn Insurance Group Headquarters, Palmetto Park/Merrill Lynch, First Union Plaza, and many others.
Keith’s influence extended far beyond his professional achievements. A passionate advocate for the City of Boca Raton, he served in numerous leadership roles, including on the Board of Directors for Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the Palm Beach Business Development Board, the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the Boca Raton Planning and Zoning Board, and the Boca Raton Visions 90/Downtown Advisory Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board for the Delray Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, he shared his time and wisdom as a member of the executive committee of the volunteer group Workshop 344+.
Friends and colleagues knew Keith as a man of remarkable character—measured, wise, patient, and deeply thoughtful. A natural mentor and storyteller, he listened fully and offered guidance freely. His presence filled a room not with ego, but with warmth, humor, and genuine connection. Whether strategizing a major project, offering encouragement, or sharing one of his beloved “Keithisms,” he left people better than he found them.
Keith cherished the simple joys that made life rich: the warm aroma of fresh-roasted coffee shared with his wife, Diane, a long chat about the latest in tennis with his daughter, Melanie, and the quiet satisfaction of being present for the people he loved. We cannot forget his passion for orchids, the Miami Heat, and 70s rock!
Above all, Keith’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to Diane, a loving father to Carolina and Melanie, and a stepfather to Alexandra and Adrianna. He was a cherished brother to Lisa and Randy, and a proud grandfather to Matthew, Isabelle, and Addison, his sweet grandchildren who brought him joy too deep for words.
May Keith’s soul find peaceful rest with the Lord above, and may the light of his life continue to guide and comfort us in all the days still to come.
Keith's funeral services will be held 3:30 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025 with a 5:30 remembrance toast, at Lynn University, Wold Performing Arts Center, 3601 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida, 33431.
