Kathleen Lawlor, 77, beloved wife, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and N.Y. teacher for 30 years, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. She was born a week before St. Patrick's Day, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Margaret and Thomas Connors.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, John Lawlor, the love of her life of 52 years, her loving brother, Brian Connors, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. She was a graduate of Catherine McAuley High School, as well as, Immaculata University and pursued a teaching career in Home Economics on Long Island, New York, in the same school that her favorite singer, Billy Joel, attended.
Kathy lived most of her life in N.Y. but moved to Florida when she retired in 2002. She lived in Lauderdale By The Sea for 6 years and then moved to Boca Raton, with her husband, until her passing. She was a long time member of the Lauderdale By The Sea Garden Club, serving as Recording Secretary, and the Boca Raton Garden Club, serving as 2nd Vice President of Membership.
Friends and family are invited to join us for a memorial service on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
Kathy will be remembered for her easy going personality, loving smile, a quick sense of humor that would always bring a laugh and her passionate love of cats. She will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
