Jutta Kornelia Panella

Jutta (Holzapfel) Panella, 69, of Boca Raton Florida, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 27, 2026.

Born on May 27th, 1957 in Bremerhaven, Germany, Jutta moved to America in 1989 and married her husband, Joe, in 1990.

Jutta is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph; her devoted daughter, Melissa (Ryan) Taylor; her cherished grandchildren, Claire and Charlie Taylor; her sisters, Marlis and Linda; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her. She also had an enormous heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs, Max, Josie, and Toby. 

To know Jutta was to know someone who loved people. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether she was meeting someone for the first time or reconnecting with an old friend, she could strike up a conversation with anyone and often left having made a new friend. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others made her friends wherever she went.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. Nothing made her happier than being “Oma” to Charlie and Claire. She was always dreaming up their next adventure together and found immense joy in watching the world through their eyes. She delighted in sending German treats, personalized books, and thoughtful gifts, always looking for new ways to make her grandchildren feel loved. She devoted her life to her family and was always getting them thoughtful gifts, planning unforgettable experiences and trips, and creating joyful memories that her family will treasure forever.

Jutta’s life was defined by generosity, laughter, curiosity, adventure, and unconditional love.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather as they celebrate a remarkable woman whose greatest joy was loving the people around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Tri-County Humane Society, in honor of Jutta’s lifelong love for her dogs.
