Juliana Mendez Obituary

Juliana Mendez, 31, of Miami Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born in the Bronx, New York and the family later moved to Natick, Massachusetts where Julie grew up and graduated from Natick High School. Julie spent her adult career working as a dental assistant. She loved animals and would volunteer her spare time at a local animal shelter.

Julie’s most peaceful moments were her time spent at the beach. She loved the outdoors and bike riding to experience nature. Her essence was overjoyed when she was listening to, and making music. She loved to play the keyboard.

She also enjoyed expressing herself through artistic mediums.

She is deeply missed by many and survived by her loving family including her mother Quisquella (Kelly) Britain and husband Scott of Lafayette, Louisiana, her father Julio A. Mendez of Winchester, Virginia, her sister Priscilla Taveras of Miami, Florida, her brother Juilo Mendez and Nephew Jowell K. Mendez of Margate, Florida,  her sister Julisa Mendez of Worcester, Massachusetts. Grandmother Lourdes Pena and Great-Grandmother Eulalia Pena of Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Julie touched many lives during her short time on this earth. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew and loved her. Her nephew Jowell was like a son to her who she cherished and loved very, very much. All who loved Julie will never forget her wit, charm, grace and unwavering love. Her beautiful smile could light up a room.
