John W. Hayhurst, 62, of Boca Raton passed away suddenly on the morning of Thursday, November 14, 2019. John was born in North Broward Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale on January 25, 1957. He grew up in the Pompano Beach and Boca Raton area. He made many childhood friends that he still enjoyed a great relationship with. John was a proud member of the Palm Beach Chapter of Nam Knights of America MC. His road name was “I-hop” with very good reason. The club was a tremendous support to him and he made great friendships while riding his trike on many adventures. He loved hunting, fishing, german shepherds (big bear) and a shot of Jack Daniels too.
The pride and joy of his life was his grandson, Landon (3 years old). His face lit up when he heard those words “papa”. John was an inspiration to Landon’s parents, John, Jr and Aubrie, whom he spoke to everyday. John is also survived by his sisters: Diane, Karen and Kim. His sudden passing was a shock to many of his beloved nieces, nephews and friends; he will be missed. John was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Mary Hayhurst; his brothers Mike Haggerty and Jim Hayhurst.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday beginning at 1:00pm with a Service at 3:00pm at Glick Family Funeral Home.
