John Carl Smith

John Carl Smith passed away at the age of 82 years old at the Hospice by the Sea, in Boca Raton, surrounded by his wife & children.

John lived most of his life in Bayridge, Brooklyn where he raised 5 children with Margret Smith, who passed away in 1997.

John is survived by his second wife, Patricia Smith, and his sister, Helen and her husband Bob Philip, his daughters; Laura and husband Matthew Minogue, Deborah and husband Michael Bongiovanni, Victoria Beck, and his sons; John Smith & Carl Smith. His grandchildren; Zachary, Margaret, Nicholas (deceased), Alexander, Trevor and his step-daughter, Victoria Colangelo, and her two daughters, Liliana and Briella.

John was loved by everyone who met him. He was especially known for his sense of humor and his quick wit. He had many hobbies including a passion for electronics and enjoyed rebuilding gadgets. It was these hobbies that gave him joy, kept his mind alert and his hands busy after he retired.

John’s life and legacy will be continued by all who loved him especially by his children; they will keep his memory alive in their hearts.
