John “Gordon” Campbell passed away peacefully at home with Hospice on January 26, 2025 with his wife by his side. Gordon was born December 30, 1945 in Providence, RI to John A. and Gladys A. Campbell. He grew up in Pawtucket, RI and moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1982 where he met his loving wife of 38 years, Linda. He is also survived by his children: Jennifer (Marcio) Machado; Todd (Connie) Campbell; Pamela Mackey; Kimberly Mack; grandchildren: Lucas, Nicholas and Melanie; his sister Anne (Albert) Christopher along with many nieces and nephews. Gordon worked in finance as a collection manager. He loved spending time just getting to know people and talking with them. After retirement, he was a volunteer at Boca Raton Regional Hospital where he would greet visitors to the hospital. He loved watching sports (Go Patriots!) and playing golf, but most of all, he loved being with his family. He was famous for his quick wit and one-liners. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association: https://www.alz.org/ American Heart Association: https://www.heart.org/ or a charity of your choice.
