Joel Salmon Obituary
On Thursday, June 2, 2022, Joel L. Salmon, loving husband, father and grandfather to ten grandchildren passed away at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife Lanell (Owens) of 54 years, their three children Sharon (Stephen), Jason, Sarah (Mark), and Sister-in-Law Joyce (Oliff).
He was known for his quick-wit, wise counsel, love of his family, the Bible, and music. He faced cancer with unwavering courage and strength that inspired countless people along the way.
A graduate of Henrico High School class of 1966, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War (tour 1969-1970). He later completed his college education at Cincinnati Bible College.
Joel is preceded in death by his father James, mother Doris, and brother Stephen.
His celebration of life service will be held at Glick Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida on Friday, June 10th at 11 a.m. followed by his burial at the South Florida National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
