Jeffrey Christopher Malfitano

On July 16, 2024, Jeffrey Christopher Malfitano passed away in Santa Ana, California. Jeff was born in Florida on May 5, 1987. He spent his early years in South Florida and graduated from Gulf Steam School in Gulf Stream, Florida. He then graduated high school at Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire, and attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  He loved fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, lacrosse, running, and working out. He was an avid Dolphins, Heat, and University of Miami fan.

When sharing the news of Jeff’s passing with friends and family, the immediate response was that he was so funny, he could sell ice to Eskimos, and he had empathy for others suffering, especially from homelessness and addiction.

Jeffrey has dedicated years to his passion for sales, a field he loved and excelled at. Often, he was the top salesperson of the month; in some cases, if his team had three sales goals, he would win one or two of them, always striving to get all three at once.

Despite the challenges Jeff faced in his battle with addiction, he fought courageously and with determination for many years.  Like any disease that steals and takes our loved ones, we are never prepared. Instead, we continue to help those who persevere and do the hard work and their families one day at a time.

We remember Jeff for his kindness, humor, love of family and country, and the joy he brought to so many.

Jeff's thirty-seven years filled those who loved him, and he loved, with amazingly wonderful memories. Our love for Jeff is eternal; we know he has found peace and gone to be with the Lord.

He is survived by his parents, Jayne and Christopher, sister Clare, family, and many friends within and outside the recovery community.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 3 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach.
