Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, John and Harriet (Kline) Lashiw, her grandsons, Jonathan Clement and Zachary Elias; and her great-grandson, Carter Haynes.
Jeanne took tremendous pride in her large and close-knit family and being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were the great joys of her life. Jeanne, a devout Christian, embodied the spirit of Hebrews 13:2 by welcoming others into her home, demonstrating the love of Christ through her hospitality. Jeanne had a deep passion for card games that challenged the mind and fostered connections. This passion is highlighted by the many years she spent as a competitive bridge player. She was also a loyal fan of the Dodgers and Marlins and a bowling enthusiast – Jeanne and her husband Albert even owned several bowling alleys over her lifetime.
Jeanne was born in New York, and over time her husband’s career would bring their family first to Northern Virginia and eventually to South Florida. During their time in Northern Virginia, they purchased a lake house on Lake Anna and this has been the gathering place for the Elias family for the last 40 years, and her hope is, for many years to come.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
