It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Elizabeth Truscello, 89, on January 17, 2021.
She was born to Henry and Minnie Meuse on April 30, 1931 in Reading Massachusetts where she lived until 1954 when she married Edward Truscello and later moved to Miami, Florida in 1955.
Jean is survived by her husband Edward of Delray Beach, FL; daughter Nancy Tokryman of Boca Raton, FL; grandson Ryan Tokryman of Boca Raton, FL; son Edward Truscello, Jr. and daughter-in-law Paulette Truscello of Minneola, FL; granddaughter Theresa Truscello and husband Matt, of Minneola, FL; great-granddaughter Grace; granddaughter Katherine Marhalik and husband Cory of Winter Garden FL; and great-granddaughter Emery.
Jean enjoyed cooking, crocheting and gardening. Roses were her favorite flower. She loved the color pink and even decorated her Christmas tree in pink every year. Flower arranging became a favorite hobby and there would always be fresh flowers for all the holidays through the year. She doted over her grandchildren who to this day always remark about the delicious cherry squares she would bake.
Although she suffered from Alzheimer’s she seemed to always have a smile when she had visitors. She received great care from her devoted caregivers, Alma and Dasline, who hold a special place in the family’s hearts. We will always treasure all the beautiful memories of Jean and feel blessed that she enjoyed good health for so many years of her life.
Jean will be laid to rest at Boca Raton Mausoleum on January 20, 2021 in a private service. If you wish, the family appreciates donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
