Jean F. Santello (nee Daniello) peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 97.5 years of age. She is predeceased by her loving husband Pat & will be greatly missed by her children, Patricia (George) Daniell, John, Bob, Laurie, Lisa Fallon & adoring grandchildren Mark & Peter Daniell, Gabrielle (Brenton) Raymond, Lianna (Mike) Gilmore, John Fallon IV & great grandchildren Poppy & Lenni.
Jean was born to Elsie & Andrew Daniello & raised in Mt. Vernon, NY, along with her late brother Danny. She was a graduate of AB Davis High School & her love of fashion led her to working as a shop girl in Manhattan prior to meeting and marrying Pat. She was the best daughter, mom, sister-in-law, Grammy, aunt, great aunt & friend around.
Known by many nicknames including Ginger, Dynomite, & Yeanie, after 2 decades of raising her family, Jean returned to the workforce as a hostess at Texaco in the executive dining room. She made many new dear friends & regularly shared stories that came to be known by her son around the family dinner table as the Tales of Texaco.
Retiring with Pat to Boca Raton in 1986, Jean was finally free to start her retirement. She spent many hours with her grandchildren, plying them with her chocolate chip cookies & cakes. There was also extensive US & European travel & time spent with family and friends old and new.
Jean was the last remaining member of the extended “family of friends” known as “The Secret Pals.” We are grateful that she was undoubtedly able to take the last remaining seat saved for her at their table & welcomed into the loving arms of her family & friends.
A service will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 10:30am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Delray Beach. Internment will follow at 1 pm at South Florida Veterans National Cemetary in Lake Worth.
Donations are welcome and can be made in Jean's honor to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, http://trustbridgefoundation.org or your own favorite charity.
