James M. Hynes

James Michael Hynes (Mickey), age 80, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2020 at his home in Boca Raton, FL surrounded by his wife and children. Mickey was born and raised in Rockaway Beach, NY. He graduated from St. Francis De Sales, Power Memorial and St. John’s University with a degree in Accounting. 

Mickey joined the Army and had fond memories of his service in Heidelberg, Germany. Mickey never stopped working and was an entrepreneur at heart. He had a strong work ethic, was a great provider, avid walker, golfer and involved Grandfather. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Sheila (nee Cremins), daughter Lisa Compres (Luis), son Jim Hynes (Sally), daughter Jen Sullivan (Jim), and his 5 grandchildren - Caitlyn, Isabella, Tommy, Ashley and Kelly.
 

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 27th from 4 to 7 pm at Glick Funeral Home in Boca Raton and a military burial on Monday, September 29th 10:00am at South Florida National Cemetery.
