Jade was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was raised in Commack, Long Island. He graduated from Commack High School, and later earned a degree from C.W. Post College, also on Long Island, where he studied business and economics. As a boy growing up, he had many varied interests, such as Judo, dirt biking, drums, and traveling with his family. As an adult, he remained active with karate, in which he earned a black belt, walking on the beach endlessly, and continued travel to the Caribbean islands with his wife Rosemary. Jade also had an immense love for all kinds of music which he listened to daily.
He met his wife in college, and they married after graduation. They moved to Florida in 1985 where he enjoyed the sunshine and outdoor living. He retired from Broward County where he had many accomplishments and made many friends. Jade and his wife were married for 45 years. They had two sons, Nicholas and Thomas, who meant the world to him. As a family, they spent time in Naples, Florida for vacation and frequented many local parks and attractions. Jade loved his family more than anything.
Besides his immediate family, he leaves behind sisters-in-law, Valerie, Diane, and Michele, brother-in-law Vincent and his wife JoAnn, nephew Joseph, nieces Andrea and Gina, and grandnephew Tony. He has many cousins and friends whom he cherished - too many to name.. He had a special connection with our adopted family Jason, Randee, Emily, Michelle and Zoe Zwart as well as his pal Paul who supported him throughout their friendship, especially at the end. He is pre-deceased by his mother, father, and sister Yvonne.
People who knew Jade describe him as kind, generous, and faithful. To his family, he was also these things as well as a devoted husband and father who always wanted the best for his family. Jade placed family and friends on the top of his list of pleasure and importance. He will be missed for the man he was.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 14, from 10-10:30 AM where a Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM.
