Inga Britta Olga Kristina Kessler, 70, of Boca Raton FL, dear wife, mother and sister passed away on Sunday the 10th of April 2022.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden she was the middle of three children for Stig and Anna-Liisa Nilsson. Inga’s early years in Sweden culminated in a degree in statistics from Stockholm University and work for the Swedish Statistical Institute. Early in her career she moved to Gainesville, Florida to pursue graduate studies where she met and married Mark Kessler. They moved to Boca Raton where she completed her degree in Computer Science at FAU. Prior to retirement she pursued her career in information technologies at IBM, Motorola and the Army Research Lab while raising her children Erik and Kristina. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church for many years including St Paul’s in Boca Raton. Later in life Inga and Mark relocated to Cary IL, Silver Spring MD, Marathon FL and finally back to Boca Raton where she will be laid to eternal rest. Inga had a robust life and enjoyed travel, bicycling, boating and family activities. She was a very determined person with a gentle soul, an anchor to her family and dearly loved. She is predeceased by her parents and survived by her sister Anna-Greta (Patrick) of Sweden and brother Stig-Ake (Kicki) of Sweden as well as her children Erik (Sara) and Kristina, her grandchild Kiki and her husband Mark all of whom reside in South Florida. We will miss her.
A visitation will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, FL on Saturday, April 16th, from 10am - 12pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12pm. She will be laid to rest on Monday, April 18th, at 10:30am at the Boca Raton City Cemetery.
