Hugh P. Doherty

Hugh Patrick Doherty of Boca Raton, passed away peacefully on June14, 2025. Hugh grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York where he met his wife Marilyn of almost 63 years. They began raising their family there before moving upstate to Lake Carmel in 1973.

He had a long career with the New York City School System after working for some years at Con-Edison and earlier, enlisting in the U.S. Navy.

Hugh was predeceased by his loving wife, Marilyn and his siblings Greta, John, Jean and James. Hugh is survived by his son Kevin, of Westchester NY, daughter Lorraine, of Poughkeepsie NY, daughter Susan, of Webster MA and son Brian, of Lake Worth FL; two grandchildren: Daniel and Zachary.

A viewing will be held 11AM-1PM on Monday, June 23 at Glick Family Home in Boca Raton, where a Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM.
