Henri spent more than three decades as an engineer with Honeywell, where he played a key role in the development of aviation radar technology. Among his proudest professional accomplishments was his work on the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), a technology that continues to help prevent aircraft collisions and has saved countless lives
around the world.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Henri had a lifelong passion for technology and problem-solving. He loved working on his computers, designing electronic circuits, and writing computer programs. Even after retirement, his curiosity and inventive spirit remained undiminished, and he was happiest when tackling a technical challenge or creating something new.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Liliya with whom he shared 37 years of love, partnership, and companionship until his passing.
He leaves behind his former wife Lisa, their sons, David and Phil and daughters-in-law Carol and Ana, step-daughter Jessica and five grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Lucia, Leah, and Manuel; and his beloved sister, Jeanine Gurian. He will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends who cherish his memory.
Henri will be remembered for his sharp intellect, his engineering accomplishments, his quiet strength, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on not only through those who knew and loved him, but also through the technology he helped create, which continues to make air travel safer for millions of people around the world.
