Helena Goldstein passed away on January 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 26, 1949. As the eldest child of Philomenia and Victor Politizi, Helena was a lifelong role model and guiding presence to her four younger brothers: Paul, George, Victor, and Matthew.
This nurturing spirit led her to a career as a home economics teacher, where she devoted more than four decades to empowering students with independence and practical life skills. Helena was deeply committed to her work and took great pride in the impact she had on generations of young people.
She brought the same devotion to her marriage, sharing over 40 years with her beloved soulmate, Charles Goldstein. Together they built a family rooted in love and strong values. She was a devoted mother to Dina and Brett, and welcomed Ace, who became the great love of her life. As the matriarch of the Goldstein family, Helena led with quiet confidence, teaching her children the importance of integrity, kindness, and being true to themselves.
Helena was a lifelong learner who maintained a sharp and curious mind. At any age, she embraced new experiences whether through travel, the arts, a good book, or long dinners.
