Harriet Elizabeth Molinski passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in the care of her loved ones. She was 94 years old. She was born in Hudson, New York on May 7, 1930 to parents Thomas J Russell and Estella Russell.
She and her husband moved to Boca Raton in 1968, when Bernie was transferred with IBM. Harriet was a loving mother to her family, but also watched and cared for many children over the years. A job she truly loved and cherished
A beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to so many, she was compassionate, generous, loving, and such a gentle spirit who loved helping others. Always there when anyone needed her.
Harriet was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church. She was an original founder of AIM (Achieve, Inspire, Motivate) ministry that serves individuals with physical disabilities helping them achieve spiritual growth and gain a closer relationship with God.
For 25 years she taught 2nd grade CCD at St Joan of Arc and was also involved in SJA youth group, as well as Engaged encounter and a Eucharistic Minister. She had a strong faith and wanted so much to share it with those around her. In her later years when getting around was too difficult, she consistently prayed the rosary, especially remembering our youth and young adults, that they would remain strong in their faith. She truly was a great example of what it means to be a Servant of the Lord.
Harriet is survived by two daughters: Karen Molinski of Boca Raton and Mary Ellen James (Richard) of Boynton Beach. She was a cherished grandmother to: Shawn Thornton (Cyndi), Tammy Greene, Jennifer Wojno (Dave), Richie James (Aileen) , Brittany Molinski and great-grandmother to Evalynne and Evan Thornton, Kristian & Kyle Greene, and Noah and Colton Wojno. She was preceded in death by daughter Kathy Molinski and granddaughter Ally Molinski, son Mark Molinski, and loving husband Bernard Molinski.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 5th from 4-7pm at Glick Family Funeral Home. There will be an evening Wake service and eulogy at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Thursday, February 6th at 1:30pm, followed by interment at the Boca Raton Cemetery.
