This beautiful kind Lady who struggled her whole life with diabetes finally surrendered on Sunday, August 29th 2021 in Boca Raton Florida after 61 years. Gwen was the cherished wife of John D Seagram and mother of Julianna Seagram and Lauren Miller and her husband Dan Persuad and grandmother to their son Dharen.  Gwen will be missed by her mother Mary Ellen Streckert wife of the late Kenneth E. Streckert of Chicago and her sister Robyn Streckert, boyfriend Jerome Flannagan and her brother Tim Streckert and his wife Kathleen and their son John and daughter Maggie. John Seagram’s brother Richard and his son Jay loved Gwen dearly and will miss her deeply.

Gwen was loved by everyone who met her, as they felt her sincere warmth and appreciation for them, immediately.

After graduation Gwen was guided by her amazing father to help him in his property management company where she adored working with him for 20 wonderful years. Gwen then moved to Florida and a large Boca Raton wood manufacturing company recognized Gwen’s charisma and personality and hired her immediately, but she only worked there for a short time because she met her second husband John Seagram at a gas station and that was it. Gwen spent the rest of her enormously happy years looking after her two daughters, planning parties for every possible occasion, and taking the time to decorate and plan for weeks before every special event. Gwen taught us all kindness, and she was always a beautiful shining light where ever she went. All of our hearts are broken, but Gwen is rejoicing in the “Arms of God” where she wanted to be.
