Guy Claud David Achab

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eng. Guy Claude David Achab, who died peacefully in his sleep on April 4, 2026, at the age of 73, in Brooklyn, New York.

Born on November 23, 1952, in La Sucrerie Henry, Saint-Louis-du-Sud, Haiti, Guy was a devoted father, grandfather, mentor, and a man of quiet strength, wisdom, and generosity. He dedicated his career to Haiti’s Ministry of Public Works as a road engineer, leaving a lasting impact through his service, particularly in the southern region. Known for his sharp mind and compassionate nature, he guided and inspired many throughout his life.

His absence leaves an immense void, especially in the hearts of his family: his only child, Jenny; his granddaughters, Isabelle and Arielle; his son-in-law, Kenley; his sister, Marie Claudette; his companion, Marie Olive; his nephews and niece; his cousins Adeline, Louisette, Marie Suzie, Jean Michel, Marie Lucie and may others; as well as his dear friends, colleagues, and the communities of Saint-Louis-du-Sud and Chérrette.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love, tranquil strength, integrity, and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
