Gus Constantinou was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania on September 7, 1937 to John and Chrystostomy Constantinou from Cyprus.

He married the love of his life, Thelma 62 years ago. He cherished his children, Maria and John and his grandchildren, Michael, Constantine, and Sage. He raised his family in Michigan, but retired to Florida 30 years ago to be near his grandchildren.

Gus was an avid fisherman and sportsman. He coached Little League and served as the President helping to keep young kids off drugs. He had immense pride watching his son play sports, watching his daughter excel in academics and watching his son play music and excelling in their academic careers. He loved and cherished all his boys . He adored his son -in-law Mike, and his daughter- in-law Hope. He was an avid University of Michigan football fan (Go Blue!)

Many events led Gus into action. He lost his daughter to Leukemia in 1964. He dedicated his life to the causes of St. Jude through St Mark to help other children suffering through Cancer. Gus served in the Army and drove a tank in Germany. He was a proud Veteran, American and AHEPA member.

Gus is survived by his wife Thelma; his children Maria Granatosky and John Constantinou; his son-in-law Mike Granatosky and daughter-in-law Hope Espinda Constantinou. His is survived by his three grandchildren Michael and Constantine Granatosky and Sage Constantinou. He is joining his father, mother,  sister and brother and daughter in His Heavenly Home.

Gus was a faithful servant at St. Mark, becoming involved with many church events, such as the Festival, Easter picnics, and AHEPA. He received the St. Michaels award of Honor. Gus loved everybody in St Mark and he found his true family and friends there. He was also an active community member in High Point Place and also found a community of life long friends here.

Gus and his family believe with their whole hearts, soul, and minds that he is going to his Patretha under the Heavenly Light of Our Savior Jesus Christ. We know he will be reunited with his precious daughter.
