Grace Joan Pernetti

Grace Pernetti passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 in Boca Raton, Florida. Born May 4, 1939, and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Grace lived 27 years in Massapequa, New York before moving to Boca Raton in 1990.   She met her husband, Michael at the Queens Garden Dance Hall and they were married for 66 years until his death in May 2024.

Grace worked as a Principal’s Executive Assistant for over 30+ years in various schools on Long Island and in Florida. She was a hard worker and loved being around the students.  She enjoyed traveling the world, playing cards, and, when she was younger, she was an avid tennis player.  One of her joys was bringing people together, whether by arranging dinner plans at local restaurants or hosting gatherings at her own table, especially during the holidays. 

Grace was a great friend to many and a lover of animals.  She touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. Her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her life was a testament to the values of love, dedication, and friendship. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness and style will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Grace is survived by her two loving children, Diane and Michael Jr. and three fur grand-babies, Gemma, Bella and Willow.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday September 27th at St Jude’s Catholic Church (21689 Toledo Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33433).  Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum (451 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton).  A luncheon to follow at Positano Italian Restaurant (4400 N Federal Hwy #190, Boca Raton).
