Gloria LeGette - Born November 13, 1928 - Died March 18, 2023.

Gloria was a resident of Whisper Walk in Boca Raton since July 2000, formerly of Broward County since 1951, and originally coming from Rochelle Park, NJ. Predeceased by her husband Lonnie LeGette, who passed away in June 1998, and her son Glenn Saslow, who passed away in January 2023. She is survived by her son, Wayne LeGette, originally of Fort Lauderdale, his wife Mindy, Mindy’s son Jeremy Lucyk, and Gloria’s Granddaughter Megan Saslow.



Gloria and Lonnie owned and operated L & G Suppliers, Inc as Ship Chandlers for more than 25 years; retired from Story Theatre Productions, Inc. as Executive Secretary and House Manager for 17 years, as well as on their Board of Directors. She was an active member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Boca Raton, a Eucharistic Minister since 2002; she also belonged to and helped Young at Hearts Senior Club and ran their Bingo.

Gloria was very active in the Whisper Walk Community, working on the planning Board as Treasurer for the Summerwinds Subdivision and organizing their Computer Club; She served on the Eastgate Board of Administrators since 2001, with a brief tenure as President of Eastgate; She mainly served as Treasurer and Corporate Secretary, but also served on the Whisper Walk Board of Governors as Recording Secretary. Gloria was an active member of the Eastgate Social Club by creating flyers and posters for their events; also operating Channel 63 since 2002, an in-house channel for all Whisper Walk residents (no longer in service).

As a former member of the Boca Raton Chorus she served on their Board of Directors as Recording Secretary;  She was an active member of the Bonaires Singing Group in Delray Beach; additionally, Gloria was a former member of the Mae Volen Work Shop singing group, The Whisperettes Variety Group. Her father, Mario Laudadio, had a beautiful tenor voice and she always said her son Wayne got his voice from him. Gloria also had a legit soprano voice and took great pride in singing as often as she could. Her son has tapes he may make public one day. Talent clearly ran in the family of this beautiful, one of a kind soul.

A Vistation will be held from 10 AM - Noon on Monday, March 27 at Glick Family Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM.  Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale.
