It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn A. Franklin 94, of Boca Raton on Friday August 21st 2020.
Glenn was beloved by anyone who ever met him. He was perennially happy, loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors and loved collecting anything and everything! He had an infectious laugh and loved to share stories about his years on the farm. He graduated from Rockford (Illinois) High School and then farmed there until 1961 when he moved with his family to south Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton B. Franklin and Frances Dye, as well as his brothers, Bob and Bill, and his sister, Dottie. Glenn married his high school sweetheart Genevieve Kindell they were married for 29 years and had one son David. Later he married Doris McDougall, and they were married for 35 years when Doris passed. Doris had 4 children, Brad, John, Jim, and Kathy. Glenn is survived by his son, David, his step children, Brad, John, Jim, and Kathy as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Glenn’s memory to Advent Church in Boca Raton where Glenn attended and his grandson is a Pastor.
