In Loving Memory of George Joseph Caspelich
George Joseph Caspelich, a cherished veteran of the Korean War, peacefully passed away from Parkinson’s Diseases on May 24, 2023. He lived a remarkable life, touching the hearts of all who knew him. George will be remembered not only for his dedication to his country but also for his various passions and his deep love for his family.
Born on December 26, 1937 in Cavite Philippines, George grew up with a strong sense of duty and honor. After completing his education, he bravely served his country as a veteran of the Korean War. George's service was marked by his unwavering commitment and sacrifice, and he will forever be recognized for his contributions.
Throughout his civilian life, George worked as a dedicated lab technician, bringing his keen intellect and meticulous attention to detail to his profession. His colleagues admired his professionalism and the genuine care he showed for others.
Beyond his professional endeavors, George found joy in several hobbies. Golf was one of his greatest passions, and he spent countless hours on the green, enjoying the sport with friends and family. His love for classic cars was also a significant part of his life. George appreciated the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of these vehicles, and he eagerly attended car shows and shared his knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.
Family was of utmost importance to George, and he leaves behind a loving legacy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Violeta (Oronce) Caspelich, their beloved son, Gary Caspelich and his wife Marie, and two adored grandchildren, Mia and Sofia. George's siblings, Gertrude Caspelich, Herbert Caspelich, Virgie (Bainto) Caspelich, Hazel Caspelich and late Steve Caspelich, nieces, nephews, sisters-in‐law and brothers‐in‐law, and dog Taylor were an integral part of his life, and their bond remained unbreakable throughout the years.
George's warm and generous spirit extended to his hobbies as well. He delighted in gathering loved ones for backyard barbecues, creating countless memories filled with laughter, delicious food (never forget the prime rib roast he always used to cook) and cherished moments together.
As we bid farewell to George Joseph Caspelich, let us celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his legacy of dedication, compassion, and joy will continue to inspire us.
May George find eternal peace, knowing the impact he made on those around him.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, June 1 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 2 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton. His urn will be laid to rest at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 7 at the South Florida National Cemetery.
