Gaston Estarellas -age 83, after a three-year battle with cancer, passed to eternal life in the evening of April 13th. Gaston was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on October 25th, 1937 to Eduardo and Ida (Thoret) Estarellas. He was the fourth of five children.
Gaston moved to France in his youth where he fell in love with French culture. He then became an inspired pastry chef, and took great pride in once serving President Ronald Reagan chocolate chip cookies. He was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life such as playing dominoes and drinking strong coffee with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, excellent provider, and loving father.
He is survived by his beloved wife Maria Estarellas, his sisters Lucia Barriga Estarellas and Lupe Fuentes Estarellas, his 6 children Gabriella Estarellas-Varela, Gaston Estarellas Jr., Paul Estarellas, Rosendo Estarellas, Jean Estarellas and Roger Estarellas as well as nine grandchildren Gaston III, Christopher, Nicolas, Daniel, and Sofia Estarellas, Sean and Michael Varela, Roger Eduardo and Megan Estarellas.
A memorial service will be held at Glick Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida on Sunday April 18th. Family and friends are invited to gather at any time from 2:00-4:00 with celebration of life services beginning at 4:00pm.
