Frank J. Baldassare of Highland Beach FL passed away peacefully on February 19, 2020. Frank was born in Jersey City NJ and was a lifelong resident of northern NJ before moving to Florida. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Kathleen in addition to his children Frank Baldassare and wife Kelly of Chicago IL as well as his daughter Alayne (Fahrman) and husband Brian of Wheaton IL. Frank has three wonderful granddaughters that he adored Emily, Nola, and Erin. He is survived by his siblings brother, Michael and sister Frances (Mughetto) and predeceased by his brother Angelo and sister Betty (Vessillo).
Frank earned his Bachelor of Science from St. Peter’s College and then became a CPA. Before he retired, he worked as the VP Controller at USA Networks. Frank was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3962. He was a Member of the Board for the Goshen Historic Track as well as an active member in the US Trotting Association. As a lifelong horseman, one of his highlights was being part owner of the Hambletonian winning horse Deweycheatumnhowe.
Frank was an avid golfer in the Haworth and Mansion Ridge Men’s golf leagues where he also planned multiple charity golf tournaments over the last few years. His final resting place will be at Mary Rest Chapel Mausoleum in Mahwah NJ. Memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy V. Foundation www.v.org . A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 6 at St. Elizabeth Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
