Captain Francis Paul Stull, of Boca Raton, Florida entered into eternal rest on March 27,2025.
He was the Son of the late Leona (Schaeffer) Stull and Walter Floyd Stull. Predeceased in death by his brothers Dr. Walter Stull, Wesley (Helen) Stull, his sisters Fay (Donald) Chamberlain, Virginia (James) Worthington and his former wives Evelyn (Thompson) Stull, and Sarah (Koziol) Stull. Survived by his wife of 33 years Catherine Stull. Left to cherish his memories in addition to his wife are his four children, Paul (Karin) Stull, Tamela Drugan Stull, Gregory (Michele) Stull and Scott (Karen) Stull. Grandfather of Cory Stull Fremer, Sophia Stull, Stephanie Stull, Andrew Stull Drugan, Alexander Stull and many nieces and nephews, his step children Marlene (Gregory) Carver, Mark J. Fahrenholz, his step Grandchildren Mark A. Fahrenholz and December Fahrenholz.
Francis was educated at Baylor University, George Washington University and Franklin Marshall College where he was a pre-med Biology major working at Western Psychiatric Institute. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command refueling jet tankers KC-135's in the sky. Pursuing his dream of flying he became a pilot with Pan American World Airways where his experience encompassed a wide range of Commercial flights as First Officer and then Captain of 27 years. Because of his love of aviation, it was no surprise that he then became a flight instructor for Airbus, Boeing, Flight Safety and JetBlue.
His final retirement was on April 6, 2013 from JetBlue Airways after 12 years of service. Everything he achieved was a result of hard work and a strong work ethic. Fran had a passion for sports, an avid golfer and a big fan of the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed telling jokes, quick witted sense of humor, kind and generous. He had countless friends but always had room for one more. Some favorite past times were solving Crossword, Jumbles, Word Search puzzles, playing cards and having a cigar with his Condo buddies. He always looked forward to going out for breakfast on Sundays with a special friend.
A Committal Service with Military honors will be held at South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
