Evelyn (Lynn) Mulcahy Ford Dec. 9, 1933 - Dec. 3, 2025
Lynn Ford was born to George Edwin and Eloise Pope Mulcahy in Princess Anne, MD. Lynn attended school locally and was graduated from Washington High School. Lynn’s next destination was Denison University in Granville, OH, where she pledged Chi Omega. After leaving Denison, Lynn completed Executive Assistant coursework at Katherine Gibbs in Chicago, IL. Providing great encouragement and help to Lynn were her Aunt and Uncle Olive and Ted Meindl, and it was at their home in Wilmette, IL, that Lynn lived while working in Chicago. Later, Aunt Olive and Uncle Ted served as wonderful and attentive “grandparents” to Leslie and Lee, due to the close proximity of Racine, WI, to Wilmette, IL.
While working as an executive assistant on Michigan Boulevard in Chicago, Lynn met her future husband Logan Cashman. Their marriage took place at the historical St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Princess Anne in 1956. Lynn and Logan settled in Racine, WI, starting their family and living happily there before moving to Coral Springs, FL, in 1972.
Lynn returned to work after her children started high school, rapidly climbing the ladder at Merrill Lynch Relocation Management. She ascended to the level of Real Estate Broker of Record for the State of Florida, representing Puerto Rico as well. Lynn derived great satisfaction in and through her career, making many lifelong friends along the way. She retired in 1997 after working for 20 years in the corporate relocation business.
The year after Logan’s passing in 1999, Lynn married Judson J. Ford of Syracuse, NY. Many years were spent together enjoying European travel, primarily hiking in the Swiss and Austrian Alps and the English countryside. Lynn became fond of Jud’s five children and their families, while developing particularly close bonds with daughters Janice (Keith) Brown and Ellen (Eddie) Kryder. After Jud’s passing in 2014, Lynn moved beachside to Pompano Beach, where she enjoyed morning walks to the pier and the ocean views from her balcony.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Lynn was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for 14 years and St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church for 48 years. In both of her chosen places of worship, Lynn served on the altar guild. A lifelong dedicated correspondent, Lynn kept in touch faithfully with family and friends from every stage of her life.
Lynn was predeceased by her beloved son-in-law Michael Schroeder and brother-in-law Donald Kammerer. She is survived by her children, Leslie Cashman Schroeder of Vero Beach, FL, and Alfred Lee Cashman (Keli) of Pompano Beach, FL; grandchildren Maximilian Schroeder, Alexandra DeMello (Nicholas), Logan Cashman and Kellen Cashman, great grandchildren Isabella Schroeder, Violet DeMello, and Forest DeMello.
Also surviving Lynn are siblings Janice Kammerer of Vero Beach, Gerald Mulcahy (Brenda) of London, Ontario, and Sandi Webb (Edward) of Homestead, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive Lynn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at North Creek Presbyterian Church, 4601 N.W. 71st Street, Coconut Creek, Fl. 33073.
