Elwood Wilson Wagner passed away and entered the presence of his Lord on December 15, 2018. He was 94 years old.
Elwood was born in Shamokin, PA and grew up in Trenton, NJ graduating from Hamilton High School. While in the hospital as a young man, he met and then married a pretty nurse, Dorothy Esposti. They were married for 72 years.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, three sons Craig (Wendy), Glenn, Eric (Taffy), four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Elwood worked as a printer for the Trenton Evening Times and after retiring went to work at America’s Keswick. It was during this time that Elwood and Dorothy began going on mission trips. The first years of these trips were on medical/surgical missions setting up tents to treat people in remote areas of the world. Later, they went on Eye project trips with Dorothy continuing as a surgical nurse and Elwood learning to fit artificial eyes. They did over 35 trips.
Elwood was known as a man of great character, integrity, humility, service, unconditional love, a strong work ethic, sense of humor and for his deep love for his family and his God. While he was a man of few words, his words always mattered.
