Elvin Brinegar, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 13, 2025. He is survived by his wife Alice Jane Brinegar (his Janie) who he loved and respected and never failed to let her know as she did him. He is also survived by his son William Christian Brinegar, his sister Becky Brinegar and nephew Tray Brinegar. He was predeceased by his parents, Flossie and Ray Brinegar.
Elvin was born and raised in Irvin, Kentucky. He had a love for all sports and excelled in most of them especially golf and football. He graduated from Eastern University with a Masters degree and proudly was the quarterback on the football team. Elvin also served his country in the U,S, Army. Elvin had a long successful career as a home builder in the Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale area. He had a fulfilling and accomplished career for 50+ years in South Florida. He was recognized in the home building community as honest, fair and firm with a sweet and gentle nature and wonderful sense of humor. He was a faithful member of Coral Ridge Church and Calvary Chapel. He was diagnosed at the age of 40 with ALS. We are comforted by the fact he is no longer suffering and is home with the Lord.
A celebration of his life will be held at our home on a later date.
