Elizabeth A. Cheevers

Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on January 31, 2019.

Betty was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada on February 24, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Mary Sciamonte. She attended McMaster University in Toronto and was an English teacher and travel agent, before retiring to spend all of her time with her family, especially with her grandkids.  She married Gerry, the love of her life, in 1964 and they raised their three children in North Andover, MA.

Betty lived her life with love and kindness and always had an infectious smile that originated from her heart and soul.

She is survived by her husband Gerry, her three children Craig, Sherril and Rob, daughter-in-law Kim, grandkids Jon, Laura, Julianna and Cate, brother John and his wife Lorraine, sister Lori, nieces Jodi, Lynn and Lisa, and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2019 from 5-8 pm at the Glick Family Funeral Home, located at 3600 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida.  The Funeral Mass will be at 11am Wednesday at  Ascension Church, located at 7250 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida.    In addition, there will be a celebration to commemorate Betty’s life in the near future in North Andover, Massachusetts.
