Edwin (Dick) L. Perkinson of Boca Raton, FL passed away on June 7, 2024 at the age of 86. Dick was born on May 31, 1938 in Petersburg, Va. Dick left Petersburg to serve in the Navy and saw the world aboard the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt. Dick was transferred by 3M to South Florida in 1975 and lived there ever since. He was an avid golfer that tore-up (in a good way) the fairways of the Country Club of Coral Springs for over 40 years, winning many Saturday morning Nassuas.
Dick is survived by his wife Catherine, brother Floyd, sisters Peggy and Judy, son Rick, granddaughters Catherine Walsh (Ryan) and Emily Renda (Jesse), and great step-grandson London Drouhard.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Julius and Edna Perkinson and sister Joan.
Dick’s ashes will be buried at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. Fair winds and following seas Dad!
