Edward A. Pac, Jr.

Edward Andrew Pac Jr., 60, of Boca Raton, FL., passed away at home on the morning of Tuesday May 23, 2017, after a three and a half year, hard fought battle against pancreatic cancer. Ed is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patti, son, Andy (Jessica) of St. Thomas V.I., daughter, Abby, brother, Drew (Deanna) of Quakertown, PA., sister, Donna of Swoyersville, PA. Ed is predeceased by his father, Edward, mother, Dolores, and brother, Dave. Anglin’ Eddie will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his story telling, his love of playing games and gathering everyone together to compete, and his fun hearted soul.

Ed was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA., on September 4, 1956.  He had a great childhood growing up in a small town filled with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless childhood friends who he stayed in touch with his entire life.  His love of fishing and hunting started at a young age.  He became quite the story teller. Some stories were so outlandish, we had to question their reliability. 

Ed graduated from Penn State University-Wilkes-Barre with a Surveying degree.  He surveyed in Pennsylvania and Colorado before moving to Florida.  It is in Florida he found the love of his life, Patti, and began his own business, Pac Surveying.  He completed over 9,000 surveys in the 30 years he operated the company.  Ed was the go-to man in Boca to get the survey done. He was one of a few fortunate people could say he truly loved his career.

He enjoyed going to the beach for sunrise and sunset with his family and friends where he’d play his guitar, look for sea turtles, and hopefully catch a fish.  He was the ring leader of his “Thirsty Thursday” crew who were either golfing, playing racquetball, fishing, making Jägermeister’s, going to sporting events, or competing in Tikki Toss in his Man Cave. Ed was a people person, and kept each person he knew so close to him, he never forgot a name. Ed thought it was meant to be that he was born on a holiday weekend, Labor Day, and took advantage every year.  He was proud to be winning the battle in order to make it to his 60^th birthday - a gathering of couple hundred people at Lake Wyman Park to help him celebrate that milestone.

In July and January, Ed had the chance to visit Andy and Jessica and his grandchildren, Nina (15), Stella (5), and Isa (1), in St. Croix and St. Thomas.  He made lasting memories with their adventures together and was proud to share the stories with all his friends.  

Ed never missed an opportunity to find the perfect spot to set up his hammock so he could watch Abby compete on the USCB Sand Sharks softball team.  Traveling every weekend to Abby’s games kept him going and gave him something to keep fighting for. The softball family we enjoyed for the past nine years is an incredible bond. 

Ed would want us to tell you how much he appreciated all “his girls” at Lynn and that they are what got him through some very tough hours. Keep eating Lollipops!

A memorial service will be held at Glick Funeral Home beginning at 4 PM on June 4, 2017 followed by visitation until 6 PM.

Immediately following the visitation, those that care to, please join us at the north end of Red Reef Park to keep Ed’s Sunday night fishing tradition alive.
