Judge Edward (Ed) F. Lussier, 97, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at home. He was born in Chicago IL, the devoted son of the late Horace and Eleanor Lussier. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Robert G. Lussier, sister, Marilyn Sullivan, his loving wife, Jean Joyce Lussier, and son, John J. Lussier. He was the father of Bob (Martha), Tom (Anne), Jim (Teresa), Ed, John (Jenny), Rich, and Jeanmarie (Duke Donovan). Ed also leaves 25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
His 40-year career with the US government included being the youngest lawyer as Chief Counsel of a large US government procurement agency, and later appointed to Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA) as a Judge. He then was the Chief Judicial officer of the US Postal Service in Washington, D.C., then relocated to Somers, CT to become the acting head of the Springfield, MA, US Dept of Health and Human Services, finally returning to Washington, D.C. as a trial Judge with the ASBCA.
He was a devout Catholic, a daily communicant, and had a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. His faith was paramount throughout his life. Ed was a talented painting artist, had a brilliant mind even until the end, was tough, and had a great sense of humor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday Dec. 5, 2025 at St. Michael's Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA. (Please meet directly at Church). Burial will be private.
