Edna E. Zent

Edna E. Zent, 91, of Boca Raton passed away peacefully at Hospice on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Edna was born on July 29, 1926; one of eleven children born to August and Opal Kotaniemi in Calumet, MI.

After high school, Edna went on the receive her Nursing degree at Highland Park General Hospital in Michigan.  She worked for 20 years as a Registered Nurse for the University of Rochester, MI.  After moving to Boca Raton, she took employment with Boca Raton Regional Hospital until her retirement.  Her love and care of people brought her back as a volunteer for Boca Regional.  Edna was very proud of her nursing career.  She was also very proud of her Finnish, Lutheran Heritage.

Edna was preceded in death by all her siblings as well as her son Michael.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Richard Zent and loving son Philip as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will by held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton.
