Dr. Hugo Estany Polanco

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Hugo Estany Polanco.

He was born on November 13, 1966, in Santiago, Dominican Republic to Efrain Polanco and Brunigilda Jorge Polanco.  He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother.

Hugo immigrated from the Dominican Republic to Queens, New York in 1995 in pursuit of the American Dream; with hard work, struggles and persistence he was able to obtain his license to practice medicine.  In 2006 he moved to Florida, with his young family, from Houston, Texas.  He loved music, especially old Spanish Ballads, Merengue, and Salsa.  He was an avid sports fan, he had much enthusiasm for Basketball, Baseball, and was a Golf aficionado.

Hugo passed on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the age of 55.  He is survived by his wife of 23 years Maritza Polanco, his son Jacob, his daughters Abigail and Brianna, his mother Brunigilda, his father Efrain, his brothers Fernando, Felix, and Luis and his sister Migdalia.

He will be sorely missed by his loving family, friends, colleagues and patients.
