Douglas Todd Kelly, an outstanding man, passed away on October 4, 2021 at the ICU of Bethesda Hospital East, Boynton Beach Florida.
Doug was Born on September 3, 1964 to the parents Donald and Patricia Kelly at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Doug grew up with his three brothers, Robert, Donald II and Grant, in Boca Raton, Florida while also spending a decade in Spring Lake, NJ.
Doug was a very persistent and willful individual and had a strong competitive spirit which led him to the sport of offshore powerboat racing. Doug was victorious in many powerboat races that were held throughout the United States, winning the both the Superboat National Championship and the Superboat World Championship multiple times. Doug was inducted into the Superboat Hall of Fame, recognized for his victories and sportsmanship.
In his professional career Doug started several businesses in the Mortgage and Banking industry. Doug's pioneering efforts helped change the mortgage industry making it easier for individuals to obtain a mortgage while mitigating fraud for lenders.
Over the past several decades Doug has lived a happy and fun filled life which he has shared with many members of his family and friends. Doug was a larger than life individual that was loved and respected by many and was inspirational to everyone who knew him.
Doug’s “never take No for an answer attitude” along with charisma and confidence, propelled him to high levels, but it was his love and generosity for others that truly made him stand out.
Douglas Todd Kelly is survived by his two sons, Darran and Douglas Jr, his father Donald Kelly and his brothers Grant Kelly and Donald Kelly II. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Thomas Kelly Sr and mother Patricia Ann Kelly.

Church Service will be held at 10am Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church located at 21689 Toledo Road Boca Raton, Florida 33433, followed by a burial service at the Boca Raton Community Cemetery 451 SW 4th Avenue Boca Raton, Florida 33432
